Whats your views on getting a Haircut in Thailand that doesnt resemble a shitake musroom?

Finally!

I found a great place to get a haircut PLUS the owner is an absolute stunner.

So if you still have any hair left and have been struggling to find a quality affordable salon/barbers that can cut Western hair without thinking we are Thais

It is just around the corner from 'Outback steakhouse' on Silom Road...

The salon/barbers is called 'The Corner' and its on Rama4

Ask for Nang (the gorgeous boss) Its the salon in the middle of 2 others...

You will know your in the right place when guys looking through the window start doubling back to take a second look,

she has quite a reputation but certainly knows what she is doing with fashion and Hair, mine just cost 199thb

There was a western lady i met in there too who had sililar disasters visiting salons in Bangkok, Toni & guys can you belive.

She was told to Visit 'The Corner' and seemed very pleased with her results too.

After your designer haircut you may want to try the Outback Steak House too,

They make a great pair before hitting the strip! :o

If you're hitting the strip its normally your wallet that needs to look its best, nice and plump with plenty of purples and browns inside. No point tarting yourself up for tarts :o

Personally i like tarting myself up for tarts - Then i dont need as many purples and browns - or is that just my good looks?

The boss of a salon being extremely gorgeous with men looking in...hmmm....you say she's not a katoey, James says otherwise. I think we'd better take a look to see who's right. My money's on James.

I was just taking the piss - but anytime a poster comes on here and claims (over-enthusiasticly) about visit shop /restaurant this or that, my spiderman senses kick in. Original post sounds to me like a veiled advertisement.

Will give the OP credit, the attempt was better than most I see on here. :o

I walked into a BKK salon six years ago, for a quick trim. I was given a great haircut by a beautiful woman.

We've been together ever since.

lol was i over enthusiastic? dam_n that must be why im a millionaire!!!

Far too much nagitivity from jaded foreigners living here in my opinion...

Ofcourse, one has to sympathize, being judge, jury and executioner should only be left to a qualified poster like James,

After 4300 posts of infinite wisdom, i think he deserves all the credit and not me.

Let give a round of applause for James and his online super powers

Its no wonder his spider senses need sending back to the factory... :o

you see mate, if you want people to take you seriously, you need to come back with sarcastic - funny responses.

For example, your first sentence in your reply is only exemplified in your following 3.

as for the beauty in the salon - I don't really get off on learing at women from afar. But to each their own. :D

Ah yes Jedi James

Sarcastic funny responses like 'Nang is Katoey'

how do you do it? you must teach us all - its takes great wisdom and skill im sure

Obviously you get off on perogies instead, but each to their own mate

So to exemplify the qualities of a good forum member who doesnt like insulting people they dont know

Can we get back on topic with haircuts in Bangkok Please

In fact, I am in need of a haircut. DJ, do you have photo of this beauty a la scissors that we can pass our own judgement on?

BTW, at least with perogies they are hard to find around here - unlike beautiful women. :o

James- Is it a hard job monitoring the internet for dishonesty?

Not monitoring it for dishonestly, just bull-<deleted>. :o And I need a good haircut.

Which reminds of something embarrassing that I did a few years back while getting my hair cut by a katoey.

After the cut and wash he/she goes to me, "Would you like it dried?" to which I freudianly replied "Yes I usually get a blowjob".

It's not a story I share with just everyone, so consider yourself lucky mate :D:D

"no one has mentioned/asked how much is this fabulous haircut"

An earlier poster mentioned 199 THB. "A little trim" or "a little off the back" is undoubtedly more expensive.

no one has mentioned/asked how much is this fabulous haicut

Although the haircut I had initially only cost me around 100 baht+tip. The following six years have cost me considerably more. But I wouldn't change a thing :o:D

I paid 199 baht for it... :D

For that i had my mop fondled and caressed by what im sure were only feminine hands....

My hair is quite wavey so getting a good cut is difficult - unless they know how to layer farang hair, which isnt as easy ive been told...

Also there was none of this double pricing malarky, which to be honest was a beath of fresh air in Silom

I didn't tip or... i might have been happily married by now!

So, Does anyone know how to make hair grow faster before all you younger buggers start dating her!!! :o

It's too late, went in there on Friday and got a date with her. We went back to hers and gave each other a shave.

Yeah, the buttock fluff gave it away.

"I found a great place to get a haircut PLUS the owner is an absolute stunner. It is just around the corner from 'Outback steakhouse' on Silom Road...Ask for Nang (the gorgeous boss)..."

I love this type of posting by a farang. The OP has no eye for detail, and no understanding of the very basics of life. Thing One: the restaurant is not the "Outback", the name of the restaurant is the "Smokehouse". Ah, he'll say, "it's almost the same. Gosh, they both sell steaks." That's true, both of the places sell steaks. Unfortunately, the OP missed the identifying details, and that brings me to Thing Two. Even the most casual glimpse of Nang makes it obvious that the person was born a man. I asked him what the price of the haircut was, and his voice made it obvious - even to a blind man - that he was a...he. Hey, the OP might gasp, "What's the difference? Both men and women breath the same air". Indeed they do. If you are looking for a very pretty man, Nang is right up your alley.

Walking down Silom, I noticed a brand new styling salon that the OP might want to check out. Located at the corner of Silom soi 1, you can get a haircut there for 200THB and, according to the sign in the front window, it is open 24 hours a day. You can get trimmed around the clock. The name of this establishment is "Gay-Cut".

i am actually not allowed to have a hair cut :o cos mum said so. plus i dnt trust some hi-so salons here in bangkok

had better go to some salons that are friendly and talkable so u can tell them what u want to do with yr hair.

i dnt wanna come out from the salon with the hate-myself feeling which i often get.

Don't go for haircut on wednessday I believe it was?

I found two good salons that know exactly what I want and I am out within 15 minutes.

Lotus Rama 3 and other salon in The Mall Tha Pra (The one with pink neon letters).

In the beginning I made the mistake to have them do the hairblower supersculpting method on me but now after the second wash I just ask a bit of gel

roughen my hair up a bit pay and go.

They many times make jokes about that........... :o
