On the thread about a Brit dieing in a head-on collision someone mentioned a Texan had been murdered in Chiang Rai and the news didn't pick it up. I didn't see anything about it here, so does anybody know anything? Was this recent?

Well, meelousee over in the topic in Phuket News about a car accident death said that his friend from Texas has been murdered up in Chiang Rai while there to buy wood for his business. Said he only got a small mention on the radio and was upset that the report said it was a drug overdose yet the Texan did not use drugs and wife reported his body was found with no passport, no amulet and no ring (presume amulet and ring are something he normally wore). Sad story.
