I looked into the rates from KL to England. If anyone wanted a one way ticket then quite a good deal. Doubling up for a return ticket not much different from etihad, in fact more, as one has to get to KL. If one booked way ahead then probably a lot less.

Thai air have flights to Syd or Mel this month for 18500Bt return ,,, cuisine and movies included ,,,,,,, plus certain conditions

You can add extra 5-6000 to that for the Chiang Rai connection. More, or less, depending on when and where you book.
