Featured Replies

Got new iBook G4 with Mac OS X10.3.5. Never had Mac before, but I have True DSL connection with Zyxel Prestige 630-11 USB modem. Anyone can give me tips how to connect this MAC to True network? Thanks in advance.

i thing you use router is easy than use zyxel 630

Adsl route use with mac about 1900

Adsl route + 4 port 2700

adsl router + wireless 4200

I am connected with Zyxel 650 ethernet at True the 630 usb is only for windows .

Hmmm I got the picture...will continue using my Sony laptop with XP. Gonna sell iBook, too much trouble.

So, you bought hardware that is incompatible with the iBook and that makes the iBook too much trouble?

Mac's work with True just fine....

I have Sony and Zyxel working fine with True. Just experimented with new Mac that I got. Who gonna buy USB crap like Prestige 630-11, I got it free from True.

Anyway Mac is not feel comfortable compared to Windows. Even msn messenger cant display pictures and video. I know it's more stable, increadable graphics etc, but just too complicated for new user.

In other words, you have both a Sony laptop, and a Mac laptop, both I believe have built-in Wi-Fi, and you want to use a crappy USB ADSL modem.

Why not just buy a wireless router with built-in ADSL modem. Set it up VPI-0, VCI-100, etc. , and both computers can use it at the same time wirelessly.

If you're really planning on selling the Ibook, I might be interested. (assume it's the 12" with 802.11g built-in - available for about $995 in the US?)
