Hey. What headlight system do you use. My headlights are shit. At night in dark places I can't see anything. The mechanic said that in order to put the bigger 55-60 watt bulbs in I need to chane the whole light system. I have a system similar to a Nouvo with 35 watt bulbs.

I'm going to die some day with the current headlights.... :)

LENNY. do you have the newer looking rc211 type replacement fairing. if so then yes you do have the headlight unit from (i think) the Yamaha spark. You could do what all the scooter boys do and fit HID's or Get some spot lights mounted in the fairing air scoops.

Beautiful! So it is complete. I sure love my VFR!

I had more problems with mine. (what else is new) Took it to the shop. Noticed the old engine still sitting there? What's going on with that?

I found out my job went away while on vacation so weighing my options at the moment. Hoping that Song will swap me a original tail section for the motor!

I indeed have those same bulbs, but for some reason i can see pretty well with them. I have seen those HD kits on scooters here and they are bright to look at but not too sure how well they work while driving!

Well I hope it works out for you.

I remeber wanting to sell the engine to song, but he didn't seem interested.

I have seen those LEDs in stores and on scooters, and they work good. I've seen them in use, but Song told me the police don't like them and I will be targeted. noy sure how it would work in Bangkok.

Not to steal your thunder, but speaking of fixing bikes, I got the blade running.

actually been going for a while but couldn't figure out how to share video

Lookin' Good Paul!

Though the video quality is quite low I couldn't help but notice what looked like white smoke coming from your tailpipe... Honda engines are generally pretty bullet proof. Are you burning oil?

Happy Trails!

This is the bike (2006 CBR1000RR) that I picked up at the police impound auction for $950. Judging from the lack of crud in the exhaust, and the tread from the original tires it looks like it had been run less than 3,000 miles before it went down.

Yes, it was blowing a little smoke on acceleration, but my mechanic says that that is normal. It's not leaking anything, but after a crash fluids go where they are not supposed to go, and it will take a couple hundred miles of running to burn out all the crap from where it's not supposed to be. :)

Well took the Bike to Chiang Rai without incident, but then got some bad fuel and had to pull the tank and drain a bit out. While i was at it i pulled the air box and filter out to see how my midrange performed with no filter and my slide needles backed off.

Holy crap! 9000 RPM is like a monster roar, it actually was louder than the exhaust!! Power hits alot harder and mid range is finally leaned up enough so no stumble.

I need one more gear though, keep trying to shift at 120kph.
