I have heard and read some reports that Gulliver's on Soi 5 Sukhumvit is now over run by African's scammers and selling party drugs!! From what I have heard the scene there has totally changed. Can someone give me an update??

I have heard that some Nigerian scammers have moved in and Gulliver's management seems powerless to change it. Heading over to BKK in a weeks time and only a few days there so I don't want to waste my time if Gulliver's has indeed changed.....had some great times there but with limited time in BKK this time around I don;t want to head there if indeed what I am told id true.

Wonder where the talent might have migrated too!?

Anyway it might all be bunckum hence asking for so fresh update on the state of play there.

Appreciate any feedback.

I was in there a few weeks ago and yes shed loads of them inside and across the road ,

The problem I had was when i went to play pool on an empty table i was told that I had to play one of them first, so I did and won ,so then he wanted to play me again but for 200 baht a game , thats when I left ,

I seem to remember a topic on here several months ago that they, Gullivers, were charging an entry fee (100/200B?) to customers of a "darker" complexion. Perhaps this is where he saw the information.

I've been there a few times in the last month and didn't notice any difference. Still lots of girls hanging around the pool tables, i don't think that will ever change

My girl friends daughter worked there as a bar tender for several years she has now quit and all the girl friend will say is job no good she left. So maybe some harssement of staff, just speculation on my part. Check the place out and if it is not what you want walk down the street to another bar.

Humm, was there on Friday night last week and saw only Thai girls of questionable occupation at the back pool tables, which is the area usually taken up by the Nigerians. I thought the new policy was having an impact. Don;t go there much so cannot confirm.

Don't go their often but didn't noticed anything different last time, which was a few weeks ago. There's always been a few dodgy people around the pool tables. No one ever bothers me there.
