I see that the link to www.immigration.go.th has gone dead. In its place, the URL http://www.imm.police.go.th is now active but has some broken links on it. To pre-empt such surprises in future I am now uploading here the documents to which I linked on www.immigration.go.th in my list of laws and regulations and then update those links to point to the attachments here.

If anybody sees a dead link in my list, kindly send me a PM and I will repair it.

That’s interesting. Now I am wondering what’s wrong with my computer. I copy-pasted the link in Lopburi’s post and this is what I got in Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Internet Explorer:

It's been like that for at least a week.

That suggests a DNS problem. Doing a quick check it appears they are using a transparent proxy because the direct IP address to them does not work.

I just checked and the Calendar on that web page has todays date so it is not a catch file. Are you using Open DNS?

Opens immediately in Chrome, FF3 and IE8 for me.

No, I'm not using Open DNS, just using Firefox -- and the other browsers -- in the default connection mode with which they were installed. I knew once how to configure Open DNS, read it on ThaiVisa, but forgot what I need to write in the field for "HTTP Proxy". Or will it be good enough to select "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network"?

If you are using a router/modem you set it up in that - should be a DNS tab.

If using Windows itself right click the connection you use and go to networking/properties to enter the DNS you want to use. 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

Putting lopburi's comment into pictures. The right side, enable "Use the following DNS servers" and enter the two below IPs for OpenDNS

208.67.222.222

I'm not using OpenDNS because I run my own primary dns server and the university one as secondary so have no problems in this area.
