Do you remember the first (and I think only) time we met...... a bar in Pattaya, Soi Diamond if memory serves, we were surrounded by party people and quite a few attractive ladies (oh.... and Raro).... you had come armed with a box of Tetley Tea Bags and McVities Digestives .... not the strangest event I have witnessed in my life, but certainly a fond memory.

I like to keep the good memories at the front, and I hope you have many more.

Well I didn't exactly celebrate, but it is hard not to cheer up when Jude is a bundle of mayhem, trying to ride my bike ( yes I know there isn't much difference in the height of the pair of us ) and I am pushing him round the garden whilst he chuckles manically.

We then spotted a frog in our pond and he was fascinated, yes I cheered up, as he almost jumped in, but it still leaves a pang of something, I am not quite sure what, a void maybe, a sense of helplessness, I am not sure.

By the way, Jude bought me some Ferra Roche for my birthday/Fathers day, but somehow I think there is an alternative motive, out of the family household, the boy, wife and Leo and Sadie, I am the only one who doesn't really care for chocolate. :)

If it was this one it's excellent! Argentina is the 'new world' wine to watch.

Was your one a blend of shiraz, petit verdot and melbec? Lovely!

ps if it was 15% Alcohol take it easy! :)

Yes I remember, I ventured in with the wife and her friend to be confronted by tits and bums and spent the next half hour trying to explain it was an official party, with McVities in one hand and a bag of Tetley's in the other, I was a picture of comedic nonsense on a par with Monty Python, as if these were of some value and payment in kind.

The bar, who's name temporarily!! escapes me, was run by a board member called Sunny, I am not sure if that name came to haunt me because it took a good while for the wife to believe I had nothing to do with the venue :)
