It's a particular day that Fathers are allowed, nay, encouraged to go drinking in their local boozer. This day starts on "fathers day" and continues until the day that Father comes home.

At least that's the way that I'm gonna tell it.

Mr Boo got a I love daddy mug & a card & my stepdad got a #1 grandad card & giant toblerone. I found out on my 1st mothers day that thais generally have no clue so after Mr boo got over the bollocking for not buying me a mothers day gift from my son he is now on the ball (as long as I give him a 2 week heads up) Suggest you let the Mrs know it's important to you & then next year give her a couple of weeks notice & suggestions of what to buy.

Well I got taken out to lunch, thatched pub, big garden, a small adventure play ground for the boy, a stones throw from the river Isis, the wife agreeing to drive home, Idyllic!!! Yeah Right.

The boy created havoc, jumping and pulling the weeping branches of the Willows, until I was in tears of laughter, running through their well maintained bushes, breaking their little garden lights, until there was a confrontation between the manager and me.

He threatened me with litigation, I threaten him with ill-managed garden features that could cause harm to my boy, the wife hastily swept up the boy and I was ordered to drive home!!

I got exactly as many cards/SMS's mesages as I expected (0) and I'd like to say it don't bother me, but it does.

Out of sight,out of mind,I suppose and at 18 & 22 they have busy lives in the UK.

Made my dad pastrami on rye with sauerkraut for dinner (some of his favorite food) and gave him yummy chocolate truffles as a present.

Two Father's Days ago (Dec. 5th) I was able to go see my daughter in her schools FD concert. I had the handycam and video taped the whole lot. My then 4yr old dancing and after the dances finished all the little kids pinned a flower on their Dads(including me).

This is a video that I had hoped to cherish for the rest of my life but some (lucky to still be alive) nephew decided he needed the money he would raise by selling my handycam more than I needed my daughter's dancing video.

Little shit, I could have killed him. Funnily enough the family's reaction was a shrug of the shoulders and mai bpen rai, he is only 12 yrs old, what do you expect?

I don't think you can do that any more in the UK. With Peadophiles and Privacy laws etc I don't think the Schools allow you to film other kids, or so I got told. World's gone mad.
