Graphic Equalizer

Featured Replies

My hearing is not good...nearly all TV and Video sounds fuggy...by reducing the bass and increasing the treble it helps but not a lot.

I now am going to try a graphic equalizer which should give me a bit more control of the audio.

My set up is:- true decoder ....linked to DVD player/recorder ....linked to the TV.... or to a separate powered amp and speakers with only the picture on the TV

For the TV set up I guess I put the Graphic equalizer between the DVD and the TV/

But for the separate system do I put the equalizer before the amp or after the amp and before the speakers?

Before the amp.

OK THanks

This is where it is a shame that modern amps do not have tone controls any longer.

Here is a tip,

get some hearing aids, they can help with a lot more than the TV

Check your True box or upgrade to an aftermarket sat box..

I have no problems with the TV sound except the fact they cant be bothered to volume level the channels so some are loud and some are quiet..

Also theres bass mid and treble controls in any amp worth calling one.

The OP does not admit to his age, but this may be good advice?? :)
