currently in Chiang Mai.

The wife has a friend in CR who

wants to rent out her housein Doi Hang.

It seems pretty isolated and a bit far out

of town.

Was wondering if anybody who lives there

or near could give me their opinion on the

area?

Doi Hang is the Moobaan where the prison is, just outside the city(muang) of Chiang Rai.Its quiet but just as safe I should think as being in town.There are quiet a few expats living in this area and I live quiet close.Have not heard any bad reports.As with anywhere over this way you need transport so this is as good a place as any to stay.Hope that helps

I have a run out to Don's Cafe regularly and am very fond of the area. There's a nice drive along the river past the elephant camp to the hill's tribe village.
