Once More.........thailand Oh Dear

Wow, the Elephant festival has started or officially tommorow it starts. About 100,000 people will be heading for Surin. So what action have the authorities taken? For the second time in five years, the airline services have been suspended to our area, Buriram(BFV) for the whole of November. OK, the last time they suspended flights to Surin for the Elephant festival. But it's all the same. If Thailand ever gets the Olympics, I guess they'll suspend all flights to BKK.

There is always you hire-car & taxi service, Martin.

Or do they just all go across the border (an old Eagles classic too) :):D

As annual participants of the show{s} and activities, we've decided to stay at home this year. Crowd avoidance :) . People seem to find there way, whether PB Air is in operational mode or not. Speaking of which, I know that this on again, off again strategy of PB Air route policy into Buriram/Surin has a few disheartened as to alternative manners of transport. You and I both know the realities of regular commercial air transport to/fro Surin has little hope.....as the realities of the market and smaller regional domestic air carriers facing hard economic times. Buriram, on the other hand, will be the conduit for close airline connections. PB Air has already stated that they are expecting to bring back the 'regular' service before long.......hope everyone enjoys the festivities!!! We're staying out of town and the immediate area this week.

Big C the back way. No way threw town.

Madhouse.
