Boil over in the World Cup!

Germany tearfully packs it's bags and goes home while Spain marches to the final.

The world media crowns them champions well before the match.

How so?

The Netherlands seem to have played better so far, did Spain just get Germany on a bad day?

Oranje! Oranje! Oranje!

Germany were without Mueller, but I doubt if he would have made a difference. Spain controlled the ball all day with their tick-tac-toe passing game and Germany hardly had a touch. They seemed content to sit back and wait for openings that never came. Once Spain scored after a few good chances went missing the Germans were forced to press an attack. But by then it seemed too little too late. The Germans were never allowed to break down the Spanish defence... even on corner kicks. The vaunted German counter attack never materialized because they were too well marked and never had the openings.

Should be a similar game against the Dutch. The Dutch also like to sit back and wait for an opening. However, I doubt if the Spaniards will allow them to have the ball. Of course, in soccer, anything can happen and usually does. All it takes is another bad call by the referees and the game could change in the blink of an eye.
