Banglamung Police Training Exercise.

Featured Replies

Pattaya, December 10 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Wednesday Afternoon, Banglamung Police Officers were kept busy by their commanding officer, Police Colonel Somnook, who organized a training exercise for a selection of officers to ensure they were fully prepared for a gold shop armed robbery. This training exercise was held in cooperation with Fire and Rescue Services and the Majareun Gold Shop on the Naklua Road. The exercise began with an armed man, who is in fact a Police Officer, entering the shop and snatching gold items from the owner. A total of four suspected armed robbers were involved with two being quickly arrested and the other two managing to escape. The two escapees then abducted a member of the public and held her as a hostage. Police then entered into negotiations with the two men who eventually gave up. A reconstruction of the crime was then held so investigators could fine-tune their skills in building a case and completing the correct paperwork to ensure the suspects can then be processed. The Colonel confirmed to us that he was happy with the training exercise and will arrange further sessions in the future.
