I need a decent hotel, if I list my requirements then perhaps one of you could help to which I'd be grateful.

1: Preferably on Sukhumvit but not around Nana.

2: My budget is between 500 and 1,500 per night, ideally 1,000.

3: I'd like somewhere with a pool that is not likely to be busy late at night but will still be open.

4: Somewhere not too full so I could book at late notice or even turn up.

Thanks in advance. :o

Ruamchitt lodge.....on Sukhumvit between Nana and Cowboy near Soi 15.....900 per night ....rooftop pool....24 hr reception...safety boxes....generally can get a room on turn up but always better to book ahead.

There are 2 Ruamchitts....the lodge and the Plaza....opposite sides of Sukhumvit.

Maybe too close to Nana for you though

The 750 Baht rooms in the honey are not great ask for a mini suite 1300 Baht the rates have gone up recently. Also be aware that it now usually full of American Servicemen so book in advance, you can by e mail.

Nasa Vegas on Rhamkangheng (Suk, Soi 71). Bht 590.00, always appear to have rooms available. And you can call in at Paddy's for a pint (or two) and sausage and mash. Taxi to Suk Robinsons, Bht 65.00.

Not too close to Nana but have to make a reservation via a travel agent, which put me off right away - if I can't do it direct then stuff em.

One of the others was nice but didn't have a pool, the other two were either too expensive or too cheap.

I'm browsing the net also but appriciate suggestions.

Ruamchitt Plaza.....telephone....(662) 254 0205 or e mail [email protected]

I have booked direct before after the Asia travel people insisted on a pre payment.

I have stayed there twice before, corner rooms are very spacious but not always available.
