I went to the game and it was 50 baht to get in and 25 baht a beer. No drinking in the stadium of alcoholic drinks. The game itself was played at a fast pace and Buriram were on top for most of the game. Buriram also had a large travelling support who were very vocal and seemed to be having a great time. Although they had cheerleaders with bullhorns the fans seemed to be having a great time. The level of skill on display was actually higher than I though it would be. Buriram ran out 2-0 winners but it could have been more if Buriram had taken their chances in the first half. I am off down to Chonburi v Buriram on Sunday. This time I will take some pics providing I have some battery in my blasted smart phone.

Cheers

Pompui hope you have a ticket for the Chonburi v Buriram PEA match, it was sold out a few days ago. It's a big match that may determine who plays in the Asian Champions league next year, and maybe even who is going to push for the championship this year.

With 2 round remaining here are the fixtures this weekend. League leaders Muang Thong United are off to Syria to play in the semi finals of the Asian Cup so take the weekend off. They will be back to play 2 matches next week, one win will secure the championship.

If anyone is planning to go to the Thai FA Cup final on Sunday 28th November (ko 4:00pm), there is a lot of useful information here.

http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_bespoke.pl?page_select=10334

It includes travel advice, what to expect at the stadium (Supachalasai), a guide to the two teams (Chonburi and Muang Thong Utd), a comprehensive match preview written by Thai Port coach Nathan Hall and much more.

This will be our first full season in Bangkok so looking forward to watching some football this year; only, we don't know who to support! We're traditionalists in that at home we supported our local team in the Irish Premier Division, but I have no idea who our 'local team' is in Bangkok. We live in the Phra Kanong/On Nut area so a stadium nearby would be good but it seems to me as if Thai teams seem to relocate and rename themselves every few weeks... any advice?

Your nearest team would be Thai Port. They play at the Port Authority of Thailand Stadium in Klong Toey. It's about a 10-minute walk from Klong Toey underground station. Thai Port play in the Thai Premier League. They finished 4th last season in the league and won the Toyota League Cup. They have lost their main striker, but win, lose or draw, a fun day out is usually had at the stadium. Entry is about 80-100 baht. You can buy beer and snacks outside and take them in with you. Crowds usually average between 3,500 - 8,000 depending on the opposition.

Well, i got my season ticket for Bangkok Glass FC on Sunday. 1st league match Pattaya United this Saturday. I hear the game will be played in Chonburi though? Due to ground alterations apparently? If anyone knows where Pattaya will play this game I'd be grateful if someone could post.:jap:

They will be playing at the Chonburi Sports College Stadium - aka IPE Stadium - until their new ground is finished.

The Sports College Stadium is really easy to find. It's on Sukhumvit as you head into Chonburi, about two or three kms after the motorway exit. You will see a shopping mall on your left and Sripathum University on your right. The entrance to the ground is on the left hand side after you pass the market - which is almost directly opposite Sripathum University.

Hope that helps.

Sounds like you are very close to me, as I am in Sukhumvit Soi 50. Let me know if you want to go and see a game.

Its great to see the self acclaimed big time charlies get a thrashing by The Thai Army yesterday.

Is that Christian guy who plays for Muang Thong unable to keep his feet seems he spends most of his time on the deck.555

I saw the Thai Army/Muangthong U match - unreal - after the red card came out, the flood gates opened

thanks to srirachashark for the link to the updated fixture

i am trying to find people to watch these matches for my company, and it's been a nightmare trying to get an accurate schedule - every site seems to be different, and yeah - they change a lot (or so it seems!)
