Better Rights And Healthcare Access For Transsexuals Discussed In Meeting

Featured Replies

On Wednesday Morning at the Grand Sole Hotel in Central Pattaya a meeting was held to discuss better access to Healthcare and Advice for Transsexuals who are often called women of the third category which is something they would like to change and become more accepted and respected in Thai society. At the meeting representatives from the Chonburi Provincial Administration, Pattaya City Hall and the Tiffany Show Theatre located in North Pattaya discussed ways of achieving their aims. It is hoped that, in the future, transsexuals will be offered specific healthcare and advice by a newly formed organization which will specialize in dealing with transsexuals. Gender reassignment seminars and counseling for those wishing to undertake the procedure will also be offered.
