Hi people.

I have True Visions and it's dreadful.

I'm starting to miss my current affairs

and local news shows. Not to mention

the footy season starts soon.

I know the Oz channel is available as

It's been in hotels I've stayed at in CR.

The problem I have is that I'm renting so

don't want anything really expensive ie

lots of channels and a huge dish.

Was wondering if anyone knows a local

shop that could provide the dish (it's a

small one), box and set it up for a reasonable

price.

What exactly are you after? I have true platinum and get plenty of news & current affairs from the news and documentary channels and lots of sport too. Are you specifically after news and sport from Oz? Does footy mean Rugby Union/League, Aussie Rules, Soccer?

i think you will find you can receive this channel FTA on 1S-8 @ 166%E

but its C-BAND that means about a 6 foot dish

i know you could receive this channel on True Visions up to last week when they changed the channels around,

but the signal was poor and the picture kept on breaking up

Am after the Australian Network Channel.

Has shows like "Four Corners", local news

and the AFL.

There were recently 2 test matches that

were being played and True Vision, in their

wisdom decided to play beach soccer and Indian

basket weaving.

I sold the complete system absolutely too cheap!

Please don´t tell anyone how much I gave it away for !

They will laugh at me for years! (ch35, soap and the others that sell equipment)

But I am happy that is is working fine for your parents !

And in order to stop your 65cm dish and Dynasat receiver gathering a lot more dust that its gathered in the past 2years

you let your system go for a song.

There are a couple hundred Farang in Chaingrai who have the same set up that Sven gave away also gathering dust in some outhouse

There's a large fan base for Indian basket weaving here in Chiang Rai! I'll ask my lady to ring the guy we get our True from and let you know if he can do, he's pretty clued up about what's what when it comes to dishes, boxes etc and cheap too, will PM if you he can.
