I consider it a good day if I can manage amused tolerance with some of the people on this forum.

That's my considered opinion after more than 35 years. Seriously. I also am amused by the bizarre positions on forums.

this reminds me of a born again i met in california who told me she was saved and that only the saved would go to heaven. i asked her about the budhist, her reply was they are heathans meaning they dont matter nor count, well needless to say it did not seem like the most christian thing to say but she was holly and saved; in her own mind anyway

I knew one like that too. Anyone who hadn't accepted JC as their saviour would burn in hel_l. I asked her what about all those Chinese in the interior of the country who might never have been exposed to Christianity and she replied that they would burn too because everyone at one point in their life is given the opportunity. Fair question. Maybe they're really terrible sinners. But it appears to be an initial condition for discipleship. I don't know, but I'm loving my enemies, rather than hating and killing. As far as I can notice, the make-believers are hating their enemies. I'm sometimes mistaken.

I think he's pissed them off big time.....but, as with most governments, money takes precedent over most issues, and China is quite dependant on the US for trade.

I'm not a big fan of the Dali Lama. While I'm sure he's a nice guy, he doesn't seem to understand Buddhism.
