And the answer to your question is hypocrisy and double standards. Just like when you leave Saudi and enter the likes of Abu Dhabi, you see the Arab men downing alcohol at a great rate of knots.

I was in a pub the other week in Patters. A guy came in with his shirt and shorts undone. A girl behind the bar told him to fasten up or he would have to leave. It transpired that he'd just come from Soi 6, were some other guy must have took his clothes by mistake.

Kind of wondering where you had dissappeared to. Was it a one off or ongoing?

I think it's the Universities who control them. But they are VERY easily got around

Just the same (many years ago). I also didn't notice until I got into my office. I recall that a little light bulb flickered when I was reflecting upon why so many people sitting around me on the train (on the way in) were snickering. A good thing that I always used to keep a complete wardrobe at the office...

As to wearing odd socks, Pete, you can really only get away with it if you have a pair with the word 'Yes' (in several languages) on them and a similarly coloured pair with the word 'No'. But I like the idea of mismatched footy socks. Perhaps a Carlton sock on one foot and a Collingwood sock on the other (and a motorcycle helmet)...
