What Is The Name Of That Stone Cement Stuff They Put Around Swimming Pools

Featured Replies

The stuff I mean is like a cement when they pour it, and when it dries it lightens up, and has a surface of little stones. A sort of light brown colour.

I have a courtyard which is 4m x 5m that I wish to put this surface on (Or should I say, pay someone to bring it/put it on).

Whats it called, and who do I call? And how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks

Phil

Two different animals here MM. Firstly the swimming pool surround is a mixture of small polished river stones and cement. It's laid, and when set, acid etched with hydrochloric aicd to get rid of the cement on the surface, and highlight the pebbles, with sealing optional. The other one is an epoxy mix, with the same smaller stones. They trowel it on and when set the epoxy dries clear giving the desired effect. Of course you could use the epoxy mix round the pool too.

The builders of the house opposite used it on the car porch and driveway, and will see if I can find out the builders, and what they used.....

Thanks MM, I'd be interested in their contact details yes, thanks.

Somchai, That Sand wash is the stuff. I like the patterns they can put in it, nice. Good link.

So, I just need to track down a sandwash supplier/installer in CM.

:)
