It's on their official website, closed until further notice.... That means until the Reds shift. Months by my reckoning.

Feel for those planning to submit, and those like myself waiting for settlement visa. No regent house means no visa to collect.

try kuala lumphur or any other consulate in the region - they should understand and help, even if it's only a tourist visa and later on you can upgrade to something more.

Ican imagine a que after the visa office opens again - might be weeks and months of waiting

If she goes to KL, can she apply for a visit visa from there?

From what I've read, people have to apply from their own country.

Under the circumstances perhaps some concession could be made, your best bet is to phone the embassy and ask for advice.
