There seems to be more and more of these vehicles getting around.

Quite interested in one but would like to know how other people think they shape up.

cramped drivers seat, except for that excellent value for money and reliability. but adding 100k gets you a diesel toyota/izu/chevy/mazda/ford/nissan with tourque. no tourque in a 1600cc petrol and even worse with LPG or CNG

Flat bed tray and drop sides on the Suzuki has it's advantages, can add enclosed backs easily which is good for commercial purposes. Should be more economical than a 2.5/3.0 diesel and can run with CNG with the tank under the tray.

Probably not much fun on the highway but around town? They are not very wide as well.

Thanks for the replys.

Nothing said about any engine problems so could be the right vehicle for me.

Its a Suzuki very tough engines, plenty of 15 - 20 yr old 1.6 Vitara running around with untouched engines

I've seen dealers in khon kaen and loei.

Vitara looks nice but at 1000050 baht out of my range.

My wife has had her license a few years now but little experience so if i get a carry i hope that little 5 speed gearbox can handle the rigours of her gear changes :)

i have had one for about 6 months now, as one would expect no problems so far. The only gripes that i get about it is that its small on the inside and if your tall your legs will hit the dash when using the clutch.. but this is from a 6'2 driver. And the seats are on the uncomfortable side as they dont adjust. but it does the job its intended to do does just fine on the highway and around town here in bangkok we have run it up to khao yai, hua hin, pattaya ect. So i give it a thumbs up... no poroblems so far other than comfort, but then again its a work truck not a luxury car

Would be worth paying the extra 40,000 baht for the EXT Cab, seat goes right back to the rear bench seat..
