Questions.

Don’t know to put this in the Insurance Forum or in the motor Forum. Friend of me had a problem!

In case of car accident, if you are wrong, the insurance pays for third parties (hospital liability and property damages), but not pays third parties time compensation, because they have no car. Can third parties sue you for a rental car or devaluation of their car, because it was involved in a accident and looses its value when resale?

My understanding is if you have comprehensive insurance then any liability you have, rests with your insurance company.

Actually no isurance covers "rentals" during repairing time for thirt parties car and they not pay any compensation, for the thirt parties "accident car" has lower resale value after repairs. Talked with a few insurance agents about that thing and the last one told me that actually the other partie have a right to sue the driver or the owner of the car who create the damage, if they feel to do so, but it's not covered with the insuracne. So i just tought if someone knows different insuracne companies who cover that, or someone know something more than i doo. There is no case yet, but i just like to know, in case.

I have not found anyone covering this. When I (or any of my cars drivers) have been in fault or convinced by police and agressive thais to be in fault, we have usually made a policereport accepting guilt and insurance claim ,but stated further compensation (rental loss) will not be covered. Worked so far, barely.
