Music Downloads

Featured Replies

I've been using Limewire to download music from the internet, but wanted to know if there were any better options available.

What do you guys use?

Torrent sites. Sometimes use Soundcloud but not all songs and artists are listed there.

Besides torrents, check Grooveshark which is free and legal with anything you can think of available? Technically not down loadable but if you have net access all day who needs to download? If you do want to keep it free and not finicky about fidelity rip it with a sound recorder.

Depending where your musical tastes lie, there are a number of free of copyright podcast sites offering higher fidelity downloads of musicians wanting to give away their music freely. Some good stuff to be heard their if your ears bend that way.

Last time I used Limewire it seemed to be riddled with viruses...

Then switched to Frostwire, which seems to be OK, pretty much the same set up as LW. (had no virus problems there)

Will check out some of the other sites suggested above....

The are sites like Cavern, & Katz Forums, which you can use too, but only able to download full CD's of music, but a host of other stuff too ....

But you also need to pay for a download link, such as Rapidshare... it's a bit of a pain!
