Dynamite Used in Firework Causes Explosion in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Four people were injured when a man making fireworks, mistakenly used a stick of dynamite which completely demolished his single storey house.

Pattaya 6th June 2010 [PDN] At 12.30 pm Police Lieutenant Wirat Thetthong (Banglamung Police Investigator) received a report of an explosion that occurred at a house resulting the occupant being severely injured at 352/46, Moo 5, Nerplabwan Muslim Village, Soi Nerplunwan, Nongprue, Banglamung. Subsequently the officer informed his Superintendent who then went to the scene to investigate along with his team.

At the scene, the officers found the explosion had completely demolished a single storey concrete house that was still smouldering. Officials from Nongprue Municipal inspected the site in order to extinguish any fires and rescue the four injured who were sent to Banglamung Hospital for treatment. Bystanders were ushered away from the immediate area for their own safety.
