Modems In Thailand

Featured Replies

Anyone tell me what modem and ADSL line technology is used in Thailand.

I'm getting my computer brought out (don't go down the route of why no buy one in Thailand.......). I'ts got everything including modem. Is the sytem in Thailand the same as US, UK or some other. I ask because I know that Thailand use the PAL system on TV (Same as UK) so it's a good bet that that one of the several modems and ADSL routers I already have will work. I just don't want to bring them all!

Although they use PAL TV system here it is the same as used in Germany. Expect any 56k modem will, or can be made to work but not sure about ADSL as it is not widely available yet. Don't believe you will have much help if you can't get it working yourself.

I am using a banksia 33k external I bought out from australia, and its working fine..

was thinking about buying a 56k ext here.. but happy enough with 3.5k/sec
