Ive Done It Again

Featured Replies

Okay, its official, I am a complete tool. (Stop nodding in agreement, until I at least tell you the story) :annoyed: .

I gets up in the middle of the night for a slash and decide to go down stairs to get a glass of water. Well I go arse over tit down the stairs and landed on my head. Of course landing on my head wasnt a problem but my hand went through the balustrade and my ringfiger got bent backwards and 370 degrees and is all fekked up.

Of course Im not going near a doctor, with the phobia and all that but this is really painfull and Im wondering what sort of damage I have done. Im in a lot of pain. :crying: It hurts like buggery to even try and move any finger except the thumb on my hand & typing is now down to 85 WPM becos I can only use one hand.:crying:

This happened the night before last or was it two ago, i dunno. Anyway, I just wanted to share it will y'all becos I'm not getting much sympathy around here :( .

how can u not see a doc for that

Have a drink and forget it.

If pain still persists, have another drink and forget it.

If pain still persists repeat the above until pain stops.

In the building industry you would be told to cobb it

Take big hammer and hammer finger back in original position.

:)

And you say you don't drink ND, what a mess you would be if you did. wink.gif

Hope ya get better soon, I'd really go and see a Dr. if I was you.

"Stairway instructions"

1) Approach the top of the stair case cautiously.

2) Once there, move you left foot forward whilst making sure that the right foot remains firmly in place. Whilst keeping balance, move left foot down to the next available step.

3) Once the left foot has arrived at its destination and is firmly in place, move the right foot so that it reaches the next available step from the left foot.

Repeat as necessary until you reach the bottom, making sure to alternate between feet for each step.

Hope this helps.

Go see a doctor. They freak me out too, but sometimes you just have to face one.

Nobody likes doctors, that doesnt mean they arent a necessity. Grow some (well it was you posted that video link on the other thread) and get your arse over to a Doc!!!

I vote for Alex's remedy. Be a man and set it yourself :D

His head ???????ohmy.gif

Actually they use a device that looks like a Chinese handcuff but made of wire mesh not straw weave.

They slip it on your finger & pull/yank it with a cord attached to the tip.

what' all the doctor fear about? they are only regualr people who just happened to study for years to remember important info in illness & injury so that we don't have to learn it.

Man up & go see the doctor.

Such a sypathetic lot.

LOL @ Moonrakers, as per usual.

Neverdie isnt fond of doctors, they inflict great pain & fear. eek will remember the hole in my leg thread

Message from the board,

"Man up and grow a set" :crying::o:lol: BAAASTARDS.

Note to self: Be careful coming down stairs in middle of night for a slash.

Kor Tort...but what the heck is a slash?

slash - urinate, leak, piss

hahah thanks I would not have made the connection of slash & pee

Then again the first time I heard smoke a fag I thought someone was talking murder or worse :D

I haven't used that term for years, it was quite common in the 60s then seemed to lose popularity.

Shaking hands with the wife's best friend was another you rarely hear now.

Note to self: Be careful coming down stairs in middle of night for a slash.

It has ben my mantra to always build a low window at the top of my stairs which ideally overlooks the neighbour's washing, or at least a prized flower bed........You now know why !!!

This Thread is nothing without a photo of your Hand (the one with the bent Finger of course) also you could put up something like Google Street View from your House, so we can give you some advice how to avoid the same problem in future. However the good old piss pot may be a first solution, also good to quiet Soi Dogs. :whistling:

No, no, no, you not wristen proppa. I had the slash upstairs (in the toilet) then was coming down to get a glass of water.

Maybe I should move the fridge upstairs.....big sukka tho!

Putting fingers out in rugby or cricket - simply ask the nearest guy to pull it back into place. Job done.

(But with all these prissy little drama queens on the TV, playing soccer, I suppose that'll change, too)

^I cant do anything with it, Ive tried moving it around. Its a bit swallon but doesnt look too bad today, but still painful as when it first happened. Im wondering if the pain will ease when the swelling goes down. Makes it hard to ride the bike, can clutch real well, which isnt a problem on the upchange, just the down.

Its obviously not a bone, so nothing can be done anyway, no point having some jerk jiggle it around, send me for xrays and then give me asprin for treatment :bah:

What a woos. I remember your "Hole in my leg" thread, and I think you should have titled it, "Tiny microscopic little hint of a dimple in my leg". I know because you posted a photo.

If that thread was anything to go by, I imagine you have a slight redness about the size of a match head at the base of your pinkie.

I advise against all the advice offered here....Don't go to the doc......not of you don't want to be laughed at.

You know I'm just joshing ya!....Go and get it seen to ND. I've broken a finger bone twice and didn't go to the doc for days with one, and never for the other and now I have two lumps on my fingers where the bone meshed and healed all messy.

Mate bones heal, ligaments do not, unless you get them seen to

See the bloody doctor....................

Are you right or left handed? As long as its not your pulling hand you should be okay. Otherwise get yourself to the doctor quick sticks.
