Perchance the hesitancy to discuss 65 year old women in bed is a hesitancy to admit a reason for so many 65 year old men coming to Thailand.

A real valid and understandable reason. Men and women are not the same. What a shock. I know a lot of 65 year old women. I lived in Florida for 20 years. Lots of old people there. By and large the old women don’t want to have sex. Not everyone of course. There will always be exceptions, even sex in nursing homes.

You are correct about me not being the interesting guy from Canada to Thai women. The Thai women I associate myself with are only interested in money or bettering their existance any way possible. That is true for one narrow group of couples, sbk. You are probably correct that some people should never get married. There is that old story that holds a lot of truth... "Im not married, but my wife is." It relates to men who don't want to give up their single life when they get married. It can also relate to a few young Thai women whose farang husbands spend too much time overseas and not enough time in Thailand with their wives.

However, everyone has their own reasons why they get married, and it's entirely up to them if it works or not. Some men just want a trophy wife, some men want a mother to take care of them, and others just want someone to raise a family with. Hopefully, most couples actually care for each other when they choose to spend the rest of their lives with that person. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way. It is when the split ups occur that the REAL truth rears its ugly head. You can tell very quickly when it was just a financial situation. I see no reason why couples who do not get along with each other should stay married. However, maybe they should have become more familiar with their potential spouse BEFORE they got married.

In many, if not most cases, where elderly farangs marry young, attractive Thai women, it is a combination of both reasons. The farang is infatuated with his lovely new spouse and the Thai woman is making a financial arrangement to further her position and that of her family. There's nothing the matter with that if it works. And, if it doesn't, then at least for a while the couple had a good time.

It's surprising how long some of these relationships last, if anything they seem to be more successful than farang/farang marriages between couples of a similar age gap.

In my experience more differences occur through the older male partner straying from the marital bed than vice versa.

All the same critter; just different names used locally. In some eastern US areas they were locally known as "painters" which I think came from the word "panther".

I'm not sure where the euphemism "cougar" came to mean a middle aged woman stalking men in bars. Maybe that is just it. Cougars are stealthy and DO stalk their victims.

in the american south in wilderness areas of Tennessee they got what they call 'wild cats'; not known to stalk and kill humans but unpleasant if encountered...sounds like sum wimmin I knew...
