Timeless Tunes

Featured Replies

Just a couple of comments so far....Black Box...yeah, timeless, and I had never seen the video....hearing and seeing her....Strong in spirit and voice....and with a body....By God that woman turns me on!!!!

God yes. An incredibly sexy woman.

I actually thought the singer, Catherine Quinol, looked a bit man-ish.

So I googled. There had been rumors that she was a transvestite or a transsexual. She denied it, but was quick to insist she would not have a problem if she were either of the above

Also, apparently she was just a dancer who lip-synced to other singers voices. The main singer was considered to have the wrong body shape to appear in their videos and on stage.

The group was compared to Milli Vanilli and quickly disappeared.

Ahhhh.....I detected the lip-syncing, and I was suprsied that I haven't heard of them since ages ago......Mannish???? I can't see it at all....she's still sexy.

Interestingly her birthdate is secret. One way to stop people checking your sex at birth?

I think she has a rugged look about her. Definitely too sexy to be 'mannish' though.

No...pass, sorry. Can't see it being timeless.

it seems all of a sudden we have a connoisseur of music amongst the ranks of posters in the timeless tunes thread!

you see the thing is harcourt this aint OSB and know-one scores any points for having different opinions and musical tastes. what may be someones beethoven maybe someone else's wham. its all down to personnel preference. whether it be a tune that brings back some memories of days gone by or just a track that people just cant get out of their head, its up to the individual.what you are saying is a bit like if i where to say even if i dont think this, that the datsuns and crowed house sound like a pile of N.Z. sheep dung, but to most kiwis they will always be iconic ambassadors of the N.Z. music scene.

do you understand what im trying to say?

let me ask you this, do you think that take that where a great so called "band/group"? you may say yes you may say no. to me though they were always a manufactured group of lads put to together by big greedy music industry executives to make a lot of money. one of the reasons i have always found myself going against the grain when it came to choosing what i did and didnt like as far as music goes. i could however argue all day with a 20 something back in the U.K. about it, but it still wouldnt change her or his mind for that matter why they liked them.

I understand exactly what you're trying to say...it's a pity you don't understand what the thread is about....it's nothing to do with what music you like, or what you think is good, it's about what you consider to be timeless.

I made no comment about whether your choice was good or bad music, I offered a humble opinion (softened with an apology) that I can't see your choice being timeless.

<deleted> can't you children leave the playground and grow up?

<deleted> can't you children leave the playground and grow up?

Seems Harcourt is looking for an argument. I notice the OP hasn't complained about any of the music so what's his beef I wonder?

Outside the Box is a tad quiet today.......:whistling:

What else is new? :annoyed:

<deleted> yerself! The guy makes a sarky comment and I responded mildly. Furthermore, he then provokes the situation further, to which you add fuel.

Had your initial criticism not been aimed at one particular poster it might have been fair comment. Anyway enough of this nonsense....
