Where Do You Keep Your Cel Phone?

Featured Replies

I keep my coins in one pocket and my keys in my other pocket and both will scratch the screen on my cel phone. A cell phone is too bulky to put in a back pocket.

I don't have a nice protected spot like my friend Larissa.

Is asdf a valid reason for editing a post?

If she'd keep mine there, I'm sure the battery would last longer.

Sensitive things women.

That's why they have their own forum so when they feel a little cranky, they can get around the "cauldron" and talk knitting, hair gel etc etc....................

We on the other hand discuss members using their private parts for games of chance and other Important issues. The two side will never quite meet, so let them be.............

Which cell-phone?

The one with the Vietnam SIM card is on my desk, will go in my document bag when I go home at night, get charged. If I go out in the evening it is in my shirt pocket, but falls out if I visit too many bars.

The one with the Bangladesh SIM has been hidden away in a drawer for the past year, but I have now had to dig it out and put it on charge.

The third one, with both Thai and Philippines SIM cards, is on charge during the day, while my VN phone is with me.

I tried using just one phone, but kept losing contact numbers 'cos I'd put them on the SIM and not in the phone. I conciously try to put contacts into the phone memory, but sometimes these dam_n things decide to do what they want, not what I want.

All SIMs are pay-as-you-go, 'cos I haven't a bank account in BD or the Phils, and no wish to put down a large deposit in Vietnam (3 million dong for a roaming post-pay SIM).

How can I get hold of a mobile-phne rest like the one in post #1? And what is the cost of upkeep?

My Nokia XT, is a basic roaming phone with post paid.

Pay online when bill comes.

Guess ya need a bank account sumplace, any country.

I use it in all countries, 83 available when I last checked.

Mainly, Aust, LoS, Malaysia and Philippines..... NZ of course.

Billed by NZ Telecom.

Must admit to having a sim for PH and LoS...... save costs, oyjrtwise calls are routed thru' NZ..

All contacts saved the phone memory, a must.

New numbers on other sims auto loaded into base phone.

Well, it's better than warming up a cold beer.

And, just why is it that Brits like warm beer? I never could figure out that one.

Same Scea, but it's a bum bag (go on, call me old-fashioned). Good for keys, money, camera, phone, smokes and wee flashlight. Never a scratch.

I used to wear a hip bag until some scum bag stole the whole thing and I lost everything at once. And no, it DIDN'T happen in Thailand. it happened in Canada where theft is as common as breathing.

I rarely carry it in Australia unless I'm going somewhere to take photos.

I've worn out a couple of passports in backpockets up here and they're expensive to replace. Better to have a bag to carry them and phones, notebook, band-aides, arthritis tablets, loupe, maps, tickets, timetables.....

I see, so now its acceptable to insult eek because she finds your posting offensive? calling her a silly drunken female is a tad too far in my opinion. why am I not surprised some of you boys can't grow up and face the fact that the entire world doesn't share your juvenile interests without resorting to insults?

Sad indeed.

Ian, its just that in this forum you often come across as having no real respect for women. Maybe you do in real life..i wouldnt know. This impression of you has developed over a period of time. YOu are friendly, of course, and have often been very kind to me...and thanks for that. But, there is things that you say and the photos that you usually put up of women, which make me feel that you have a certain view of women which is not much about their substance as people.

I realise this thread is meant to be light-hearted, so im sorry if im spoiling your fun guys.

Oh just saw your post.

Tbh..i dont really care. For starters i dont even drink. Not a drop. If someone doesnt like what i say in this forum, cest la vie. I try to be respectful even when expressing an opinion. Nice if others do the same. Either way, comments on the internet dont often affect me.

Dont know about here in LOS but in the US it is illegal to use a phone while driving unless it is hands free capable.

So many no longer even need a pocket to keep their phones :D

This Blue tooth add on fits all models & only costs 20 cents

Well said eek, your attitude to other members and the forum has remained unchanged since you rose to a higher level and I respect you all the more for it. :wai:

La Vie, here in Vietnam, is one of the more popular bottled waters.

Either flat or gassed, it tastes clean and pure (unlike some of the other brands).

What ever you think of the French military/colonial record when it comes to food and drink they know how to run a country.

Don't forget they are good at growing under-arm hair and cross-dressing as well.

I think that's more to do with being bad at shaving it off.

The cross dressing is probably something to do with The Auld Alliance with the Scots.

NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT !!!!!!

( They are tight fisted as well )

Eek, I'll make no apologies for being a visual person who enjoys lovely looking women. I don't know many real men who don't. However, I've never been disrespectul of anyone unless they attack me first. I just enjoy a bit of rough humour. That is one of the main reasons why I married my first wife. We enjoyed teasing each other and having a bit of good natured bantering in a typical Australian manner. it was never disrespectful or nasty. That is why I like the Kiwis and Aussies. They don't mind poking fun at each other over any subject. You seldom find that with staunch American Democrats or Republicans. They take things way too seriously.

As I've said before, I love all women if they are fun to be with. It doesn't matter what age they are. And, for the most part, they seem to enjoy my company. However, I do shock the odd person because I'm always honest... unless of course, if I'm embellishing a funny story. 52 years ago I had a rather traumatic event in my life and I vowed never to lie, steal or cheat anyone. I'm proud that I've kept that promise to myself. But, some people can't handle the truth and you have to tip toe around it to not hurt someone's feelings.

One thing I do know something about is humanity and why people do the strange things they do.

For the most part here, we only tease the people we enjoy and just ignore those that we don't..

Pete meant no harm in his comment about your reason for not replying. He was just having a bit of fun at your expense and sbk over reacted.

I enjoy any opportunity to wear my kilt no probems with crossdressing in Scotland as elsewhere but the ladies do comment on my knobbly knees......women can be so cruel....:P

I got a new phone last week after dropping my old one in a cup of tea. Within 10 minutes the screen was scratched, don't know how it happens as i keep it in a special pocket designed to hold a mobile in my handbag. When listening to the radio on it I plug in the earphones the store the phone down the side of my bra, left boob, that way the wire from the earphones don't stretch too much or get tangled. Keeping the phone in the middle of the cleavage is just too sweaty & can cause phone damage ;)
