Hi,

for the last week or so I have been unable to call to Thailand from Australia.

I either get a "This call cannot be completed at this time" message, or sometimes I get a "network is congested" error message, or sometimes I get nothing at all, the call just times out without any beeps or messages or anything.

I've tried three or four different Thailand numbers [both mobiles and land lines], and I've tried both from my land line phone in AU and my mobile as well.

I'm able to call Singapore and Japan from the same phone without any problem.

Anyone else having trouble too?

Perhaps it's the region you're trying to reach....I've been trying to reach a mobile in western NakWan (from a VOIP phone and a Middle East cell phone) and it's been dam_n near impossible to get through. Don't know if this helps you or not.

Are you using a Phone card to call or calling direct ?

My gf has been calling her family almost every day using a Lebara sim card in her phone without any problems .

I've tried using Three, and my landline is part of my internet package with Internode.

by coincidence, tonight I got through - but only to her voice mail!!!

Sometimes you can ring and ring Thailand and get busy tones or even completely wrong numbers and then all of a sudden you are in like Flynn and get thru .The phone system in Thailand is often eractic too ( stating the bleeding obvious here).

No problem with Skype VoiP on computer. Land line the same , no problem to contact Thailand. Am using Singtel-Optus as carrier.

Have you dialed the correct international IDD 0011 first then the number without the (0).
