Funky ... gay dancers strut stuff on ice rink

THESE two figure skaters are strutting their stuff at the Gay Games.

The gay and lesbian athletics is being held in Cologne this week for the eighth time.

Around 10,000 homosexual athletes are expected to flock into the German city.

Competitors from 70 countries are taking part in the event — which involves football, transgender ballroom dancing and cheerleading.

There is also a cultural program including art exhibitions, choir concerts and film screenings.

Many of the athletes have used fake names in the past to avoid being persecuted when they go home.

Mexico's gay football team — whose identities have been kept secret — said it was a "unique opportunity" to be surrounded by fellow gays and lesbians.
