A guy I know celebrated a birthday recently. His wife went on a holiday with some friends the day before. Isn't that odd? Or is it one of those things that wives can do but husbands can't? I could imagine getting away with that one. Although, if I were married, getting the little women out of the house for several days so I could celebrate with the guys would be a pretty cool present. I guess it's a win-win situation?

Talking about birthdays and spousal vacations...how does this one hit you?

The US government has flown Air Force Two to Marbella, transporting Michelle, daughter, 40 close family friends, assorted strap hangers and about 70 Secret Service Agents to protect the grand party. They have reserved 60 rooms at a five star resort where room rates run from 210 GBP per night up to 4,100 GBP per night for the villas. My guess would be that Michelle and Sasha would probably book one of the villas.

In addition to the 70 man security detail, the US Government has also flown a number of armored SUVs for the use of the party. Naturally that required a cargo plane to handle that little requirement. Since they only booked 60 rooms at the resort, that means the security detail had to be housed elsewhere. Wonder what that cost?

It really makes one wonder if things are not a teensy bit out of control with our current politicians, of both parties.
