Just listened to a Warren Zevon live bootleg followed by Peter Gabriel SO. Then a Mick Taylor bootleg and now a souped up newly remastered version of Wish you Were Here which has excellent sound quality.

ATF, happy downloading, you can also listen on line.

carrying on from post/rant above, please read this.

On April 7, 2005, we received permission for Warren Zevon shows to be hosted at the Archive:

Subject: Warren Zevon

Please allow the exchange of unreleased live material from Warren Zevon on your website.

Sincerely,

Jordan Zevon

Jordan also wrote at warrenzevon.com:

To any and all at archive.org. Please allow our members to trade thier live recordings on your site....

As long as there is no charge for exchaging these files, we support trading unreleased live material.

Sincerely,

Jordan Zevon

ATF, enjoy, the guy had an IQ that was off the scale.

Only saw him once, it was like a frat party.

One of my favourite lines,

In steps the village idiot

his face is all aglow

hes been up all night

listening to Mohammeds radio

How prophetic.

Warren rawks big time.

RGS thanks for that WZ is one of my favorite artists, totally underrated but a decent IQ is required to understand him, as you say.

I pawned my Smith and Wesson

And I went to meet my man

He hangs out on Eldorado Street

A song that creeps up on you and never quite leaves you.

Especially applicable in tropical countries with luxuriant vistas and vegetation.

God bless the hippies.

Meanwhile, welcome to the indie/alternative scene.

Brilliant song, probably the best song they ever wrote.

From before they sold out and grabbed the yankee $$$$$, from back in the days this band meant something.

I'm tilling a lonely furrow here, caught between the more senior members with their love of Elvis and Roy Orbison, etc and the younger whippersnappers with their passion for indie, punk or whatever. But I shall plough on ( pun intended). I'm grateful for the music and I'm not dead yet.

2 inspiring tunes to set one up for the day:
