I don't recall the cafe in Washington Sq rgs,but the first time I saw this singer i hired a girl from a place in WS as a sort of guide, the concert was in Lopburi in the middle of nowhere. Since then I have seen her over 100 times, the singer not the girl. This looks like a series on singers that I did not see on the TV, there is another one on Siriporn on YT. In this one the songs are not chronological, nor do they corresponding to the album covers -TIT. Anyway, off to see her again tonight at Wat Klongsuan, darkest Samut Prakhan, again in the middle of nowhere.

sms,

the place I refer to was underneath the old cinema that used to be in WS, long before, a, the cinema turned into a ladyboy cabaret and b, before the Sri Lankan guy who used to be involved with the Square One (in WS) sold up and relocated.

Ah darkest SP, such places as Pra Samut Chedi or Pra Pra Daeng?

I get dragged over there regularly to go to LiKay concerts, the mrs and her mother love them, think I must be married to a "mair yok"

I get dragged off to wats in the middle of nowhere to see these acts, great stuff, keep these posts coming, thought it was only me.

I recall sq one when Taffy took it over, took a girl from there to a few concerts. Just got back- phra samut chedi, she was on early as another concert. later. Pretty good with a new act and proper R Siam dancers with some nice routines and not the usual arm waving you see with the stock dancers. Still with mr Bunyen her clown/moderator. Likay i don't really do, though I like a bit of a look and lots of luktung singers were/are likay. I admire likay rather than enjoy it. Mair yok, spend a lot on singers so i hope not, my mrs would never spend much on a singer! Last likay I did see was Gung Suttirat and his sister, that was at pra predeang for a funeral, when it got boring we cleared off to a cafe off Rama 3 which was pretty good.

Saw her about 10 years ago outdoor in Khlong Luang at my 1st concert in Thailand and never forget the experience of walking through the surrounds then into the concert area proper and it was like someone was hitting me in the chest with the volume of the base sounds.

I never go to concerts without ear plugs, sometimes the volume is not too bad at others it's literally deafening, a lot of Thais must have hearing problems!

Talented father and daughters play everything from JS Bach to phua cheewit and Irish folk, seen them a couple of times. Posters often say Thai music is 'all the same', Thais have a genius when it comes to music.

Janet Jackson.... ''Come back to Me''....

lovely song, lovely voice.. so so many memories....

some good .... some not so good..

Ozzys finest, just wish someone would upload the Barking Spiders version (the one that starts off with, he's a effin <deleted> isnt he?), might have to upload it myself.

Actually, the 80's sucked, thankfully Ian Astbury kicked ass.

Another classic that used to blast out of my sisters bedroom as she went through her goth period.

At the time I was listening to this,

The Town & Country club in Kentish Town, cant believe how many brilliant groups I saw there, lost count.

Up in the loft at me mams house somewhere (I hope).

Another from the T&C Club.

Ah jangly guitars, a la la Byrds, brilliant stuff.

Krank it up now kiddees.

We are Happy from TAHITI !!

Well, it's better than the one from Zurich or Nurenburg or whereever!!
