Charity golf tournament in Phuket

PHUKET: -- Golfers get your gear out for the Charity Golf Tournament and Ball to be held on August 29 at Laguna Phuket. Both events are organized by The Rotary Club of Patong and will be to support disadvantaged children.

Tee off for the Charity Golf Tournament will be at 11:30am at Laguna Phuket Golf Club (LPGC). The golf format is a Texas Four-player 18 hole scramble, starting at both the first and 10th tees.

Each player will tee off and the best ball will be played to yield the lowest score for the hole with a combination of hitters.

Each team of four will enter one score for each hole and the total team score will be adjusted at the end by a factor of the combined handicaps of each player.

Scores below par for the round will be common. For highly-skilled golfers, there will be a prize for the best gross score before handicap adjustment as well.

Entry fees are 3,500 baht per golfer – 2,500 for LPGC members – and include the golf, caddy and entry to the evening Golf Charity Ball. Non-golfer guests will only be charged 600 baht per person.

Registration forms are available at all Woody's Sandwich Shoppes, LPGC, or by email from: ob [at] sustainablereturn.com.
