David Gray - As I'm Leaving.

With regards to him.

From Best to worst:

his post fame prequel release: Lost Songs 95-98

then his fame inducing White Ladder,

and not a whole lot more good stuff after that.

Lost Songs is brilliant though.

a couple of hours later... change of pace.

Micronauts remix of Block Rockin' Beats... Awesome! but segueing into the somewhat chiller

Brothers gonna work it out album,

As far as I can tell, this album is them sampling all kinds of tunes from the sixties onwards, and mixing it all chembros style as if they were DJ-ing a party (mostly) without their own tunes

Listening to it is a bit like...

Having your own personal dual DJ team working a party for you

Cocteau Twins - Sunburst and Snowblind (EP)

Cocteau Twins - Sunburst and Snowblind (EP)

I am a big Cocteau Twins fan, every Christmas I play the limited edition CD single (1000 copies I think): Snow. Just two tracks:

1. Winter Wonderland

2. Frosty The Snowman

Great!

Most of the rare Cocteau Twins stuff (singles, EPs) has been collected on the 2 two-disk Lullabies to Violane collections. Stick that rare single away in storage!

The Smiths; There is a Light That Never Goes Out..... :o

Led Zep - Fool in the Rain - Sublimely magnificent... :o

Good call. You might be able to fund your golden years with that artifact someday. :o

Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers - At the Café Bohemia (Volume Two)

Art B... Music to the ears!! :o

Listening to:

Myself funnily enough.

An old demo cassette I found lying around my parental home from years ago, when I was at my peak!

I'm quite pleased by my guitar playing, though my voice was worse then.

Note to self: Must transfer this to my laptop.

Iggy Pop: The Passenger

From DVD: Live at Avenue B (Brussels).

The more I listen to the staduim album, themore I like it.

I find their talents are being more complete with this album.
