I've just got my hands on an Olympus E-520 and I'd love to use Live View when taking photos using Olympus Studio 2 but a particular cable is required, it's the AV/PC-2 cable and I can only find it on 1 website and it's $30, this particular store only ships within the US.

I was wondering if a cable such as this can be easily bought in Bangkok for much less? can I find it in Pantip or somewhere similar?

On a photography forum I've read about one forum member making his own!

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions offered.

Just wondering if any new members or members who may have been away for a while might be able to help me with this inquiry?

Thanks in advance for any ideas :)

Hey my friend, how are you?

I did wonder about MBK but I wasn't sure if this cable is more sepcialist than those knocked-up cables you see in the shops here, the only place I can find this cable online is in the US and they don't send internationally :(

Have you got any idea if cables from MBK can be used for the purpose I need it for?

Okay, if i was in you i would do like this, print a good picture of the cable you need, the picture you posted is perfect, perhaps a bit bigger in case you have to deal with an old vendor or someone with eyesights issues, take the camera too and start browsing those shopping centers which have a high concentration of those kind of products, but you might as well find it at one of your local shops, try to test it on the spot if you can, i always do that if i can, if not, make absolutely sure they will take it back if it doesn't work for you, as you might already be aware of, many local vendors will categorically refuse to take back whatever you purchase from them, whatever the reason it is, once they get your cash, that's it, so be carefull there. Also in Pantip/MBK you might find abyssal difference of prices for the same identical product from one stand to the other next to it, to spend a bit of time checking them can be worth a lot and you might also come across some other interesting items too, good luck with your hunt and don't forget to report back if you have a chance
