One unit at the appropriately named The White House bungalow colony at the south end of Koh Yao Yai, near the pier.

Does anyone know how to post an image so that it doesn't get reduced to thumbnail size? Oilinki?

Phuket rain clouds, near Talang.

Oili,

Thanks, all the shots are on the Phaklok to Thalang mountain road. For the eastern looking shots I had to climb on top of my truck!

Cheers

The Bell in front of the Khao Toh Seh Shrine (upper) on the ground of the MCOT broadcast facility, the highest point on the hill (apart from the broadcast towers, of course).

The gold pillars have been repainted since I took these pictures and the stuff on the right side removed.

I would also note that the repairs were funded to the tune of 38,000 baht by donations from the Toh Seh Hillwalkers Association (my translation)...on my way up there right now.

I was up there again this afternoon and yesterday - and forgot to take new photos both times. (Probably because I'm so knackered when I get to the top.)

But I did hear that two farangs were bitten today by monkeys, and 4 were bitten yesterday.

Seems like some of them were teasing the monkeys by handing food to them and then snatching their hand away. Stupid thing to do. When I go I take a large amount of peanuts to keep even the alpha males happy. Today the place was teeming with them.

I also took some videos of the monkeys playing in the water tank at the back of Channel 3. Hilarious to watch.

Long overdue signs warning tourists to "beware the monkeys feeding" appeared on Khao Toh Seh this morning.

The face on the monkey reminds me of Bart Simpson when he is getting choked by Homer.

more from Toh Seh Hill...I wonder how long it'll take them to get the sign down...

Not long - it's already torn. :)

saw that...here's another one I took up there a few months ago and just came across.

I guess I liked it because the sweepers up there are always so focused on getting the leaves of the pavement, but they don't do anything about all the plastic and foam on the shoulders...

I think someone should train the monkeys to pick up the trash in exchange for food

This is a weird one. As I was taking my walk up Toh Seh this morning I thought I 'saw something' on one of the paving stones that were drying out from last night's rain, so I took a pic...just wondering if anyone else can see anything, or if my human pattern recognition function is just overactive...

That's a ghost of Lenin, pretending to be Mona Lisa smoking a pipe?

Nice one!...at first I was thinking more Renaissance at first, but couldn't think of any particular individual since they all kind of look the same to me...

Great pictures of the Phuket area, thanks to all.

I will try to go through my albums and hopefully via my

scanner I can get them to files where I can post them on this forum
