Cable Tv In Patong

Featured Replies

either all or most of the time, or almost never? Also how expensive is the installation/equiptment for ubc _ I would want to have it for four or five months in a central patong location to be determined starting this November, thanks andrew

Not sure what channels you get in Patong but in Kathu I get all the Star Network US type stuff, CNN, Fox News and a VCD bootleg film channel plus loads of Thai, French and Japanese channels. It costs a few thousand baht to set up and only about 350 baht per month.

UBC is astronomical. To get a decent package will set you back maybe 1500 per month.

Patong is 1200 for installation (1 or 2 TVs), 500 Baht per month. If you pay 6 months, you get 10% discount, pay a full year to get 20%. Bloomberg is on the cable.

In Patong, try Blue Dolphin. No Bloomberg, but 900 baht to install and 500 per month. Gets English football, Aussie Rules, CNN, movie channel and best of all, the Test Cricket.
