Her name is Ms. Pailin.

Maybe she's a Thai version of a Mama Grizzly?

She explained that she was stealing the chocolate bars in order to sell them to other stores so that she could buy milk for her 2 year old infant. Further investigation revealed that this was not the first time Ms. Pailin had been arrested for theft. She had recently been caught stealing Body Lotion and Toothbrushes from the Big C department store at Bangplee, Bangkok in November 2010, and was currently on probation for that offence.

Not very successful at her chosen occupation, might be time for a visit to a career advisor.

I love how in Thailand that the press reports the "motivation" behind theft crimes. Such as the youths stealing a necklace desiring money to enjoy the local nightlife.

As far as the motivation goes its a pretty good excuse. Not saying I aprove but it sounds like desperation as a mother. I hope they show pitty on her. Over in the uk its usually to feed a drug habit not to feed a child

I read the article as saying she stole 66 bars, that would be Bt.1153 a piece........... dam_n expensive chocolate !!
