On August 2 last year the mainstream, although not yet well-known, actress Natt Chanapa was discovered by authorities to have appeared in a hardcore pornography video that was being distributed on the black market and on the Internet.
Such hardcore pornography is technically illegal in Thailand and the actress could face a jail term.

I would get a professional legal opinion before attempting this. You never know what is deemed "hardcore"

I had been asked this also.. I gave the person who asked me a strong DONT DO IT advice without any factual knowledge..

The person I know was doing naked but not sex photo and vid of over 18's with model release.. For web use..

I thought it risky at best..

Also curious on the legal standing of net sex.. 1 on 1, 1 to many, and paid or unpaid.. I dont think there are clear legal statutes for this kind of thing yet (which means you could get big problems if they brand it under lewd acts etc)..

Guess I meet some real freaks !!!

Seriously if you like being locked up go ahead. I have a feeling most are taken secretly or out of the country or even by the criminal elements in Thailand. If authorities or other elements get wind I dare say you will have a huge problem. We've read about tourists getting nicked for this sort of thing, god knows what would happen to a professional. I'd play it safe and stay w/clothed models.

Shrimp arrested? Yes, but not sure why. A long time ago.

His studio is in the 1st side soi in Soi 22 that leads thru to soi 24(?)

In 2001 every time you paid your bill in the big open bar in Clinton Plaza you would get a playing card sized calendar photo of one of Shrimps girls.

Hence, I have a few pics

He is probably one of the best glamour photographers in the world.

He hasn't updated his website in years, nor does anyone reply to requests to buy his calendars.

BTW, some of his girly pix date back to 1978 or earlier but the pix are not dated in any way, it says a lot about his "eye"

Some of Shrimps work is/was on display in the bar opposite Blue Bar BQ, off soi 33.

yes, shrimp`s stuff is great. i have been a fan for quite a while as well.

thanks udon, and everyone else, for your input. will keep it all in mind, and will be careful. i certainly would like to know some concrete legal stuff though. for example, in japan it is ok to show pubic hair but not genitals. looking at thai penthouse and other mags like that in LOS, pubic hair seems off-limits. but is that the law, or is it just convention? also, i understand that the legal age for working in gogo bars, etc., is now 20, correct? does that apply to nud_e modelling too? any concrete info. (although i know that`s hard to come by in LOS sometimes! ) would be appreciated if you come across it. also doing some research myself....

We wouldn't have to take there info as gospel, but possibly we' ld get a better understanding of Thai law, by a person who studies it.

There are people on the forum who study and advise generally on thai law. However law in Thailand, particularly criminal law, which I have never studied, is not as simple as say in the UK. With regard to pornography the police have powers to decide on what "corrupts public morals" and may bring actions or close publications. Things normally go on a "rule of thumb". Topless is generally acceptable, but show any more and it depends on the mood of the police chief. Sexual acts would certainly be seen as "corruption of morals".

The internet is a much more difficult subject and as such few laws are in place. However volunteers or "moral police" monitor the web and "persuade" servers to block what they deem "not suitable".

It would be likely that 18, being the age of consent for prostitution, would be OK for a model, as the 20 years mentioned is for entry to places of "public entertainment"
