You mean like wasting time typing in OTB?

All too true, my friend. Honestly, if these lovely advances and conveniences ceased to exist tomorrow......I would be shedding any tears. My life might be more enriched.

I really cannot understand people who moan about today's conveniences. Which particular idyllic era do you want us to return to? What are we to do without? Electric lights? Cars? The modern medicines that have been developed using the enormous computing power available to us? Should we still be cooking over open fires? Should books be confined to the wealthy because making them by hand makes them too expensive for the Hoi Polloi? You return to the past if you want to. I'm perfectly happy with the present.

Its all fine. It stimulates and accelerate our brain power. for the big trip. Space migration.

Timothy Leary explained it in Chaos and Cyber Culture.

I left my phone at home yesterday. I went half a day without it! I tried to remember what it felt like in the olden days before mobile phones. For that matter, before computers. In Sept 1996 I had neither and I seem to remember I wasn't suffering because of it. But I can't be sure.

Going into gadget shops, electronic or otherwise, luv 'em.

This guys option whilst da missus is in shoe shops.

Just browsing, not often buying, fantasizing plenty.

Last gadget, woteva, I bought is a pocket sized gas blow torch / soldering iron with attachments.

Excellent for browning lasagna, basting capsicums and many things cooking.

I love it.......LMBO

THE END IS NEAR, BROTHERS AND SISTERS. BEWARE......

I love it!

All our lives, we've known that THE END is tomorrow... but somehow we never get there. And if it requires me to understand all the electronic gadgets which surround us in modern living, we shall certainly NEVER get there.

....add the general rule of automation to all this evilness and you will come full-circle.

Say again... preferably in English.

I don't think that a translation would do much good. :ermm:

I always hope that what appears to be pretentious balderdash actually means something.
