A protest by hundreds of Osama Bin Laden supporters sparked fury outside the US Embassy in London today as they staged a mock 'funeral service' for the terror leader.

Police stepped in to separate the protesters and members of the English Defence League amid threats of violence from both sides.

the dole is too good to turn down. the good news in situations like this is, if the protester has not already been on a watch list they sure will be after.

Where does the UK get these people? I worked in the Middle East and helped with a huge out flow of refugees from Iraq, the vast majority were settled in the US (I worked with quite a number of them). When I go back, I am always invited to dinner and we have the most spirited discussions about religion, US politics and policies, Middle East politics etc..

A few are quite religious, but none of the women wear a head scarf in public. They all speak English now and quite well (a few of the parents of staff who left, struggle with the language, but they understand English well). A lot have gone back to school and hold a 1st or 2nd degree.

Then I see this stuff in the UK and I can't help wonder why and what the difference is?

The USA is not much different than any other power in history in the sense that they do because they can. We are MUCH nicer about it than past "super" powers that's for dam_n sure.

The Pakistani people are upset? They need to worry more about their own screwed up country and not about the country that has given them billions in aid for everything from military to humanitarian (floods and earthquake) while they do their best to stab us in the back. The Pakistani people should be happy that the US is still stupid enough to give them money and support. Maybe, just maybe, that will end after the 2012 election. We should be working more closely with Indian instead anyway.

How do you know it isn't already happening? The US busted a Russian spy ring a couple of years ago. The US swapped them to the Kremlin for a box of Post Toasties and a Cream Puff. Scott - the people who go to the US regard it as a land of opportunity to work hard and get ahead.

The people who go to the UK regard it as a place where you can do what you dam_n well want, apart from work, because the stupid system provides sufficient benefits to survive, and you can always do some 'black' work if you need a little bit extra for that odd pack of C4.

That's why I have worked abroad for more than 35 years, so that I do not pay any taxes to support such a system. (I do pay taxes in Vietnam - I used to pay taxes in Thailand - but they misuse more than even the UK)
