Tourists Killed In Cmai

Featured Replies

Why do the Mods continue to block this freedom of speech on this subject?

Video below.... afford certain hotels is the rule. Be careful of what you eat. Etc Etc... I never had any issues traveling for 10 yrs to 3rd world- some people more sensitive than others because they do not build up certain antibodies.

Maybe pressure o TV to cover...i guess this will be blocked as well.

I can't think of any reason the mods should lock down this topic as long as there is so much interest. To be on the safe side we should be careful of giving the name of the hotel in question, the names of officials involved and anything else that may offend the mods.

We all know the names and what took place so let's talk about what is going to be done about it. It seems clear from watching the video that the cause of these deaths was the improper use of an insecticide to exterminate bed bugs. There seems to be evidence of the chemical in the rooms, ALL the victims had the exact reactions that would be caused by this chemical and this could also be the cause of the other four tourist deaths at other hotels who may have used the same chemical. So we have nine deaths and five almost dead making it a total of 15 victims involved. One would think the government would be a little more aggressive in trying to prevent future incidence such as posting a warning to hotels all over Thailand about the dangers of using this chemical. There may be a lot more deaths to tourist that have as yet to be brought to our attention.

look like the trouth will out but it will not help the people who died

But this could not happen in Chiang Mai more cover ups

Unfortunately the government is very busy with self-inflicted gun shot wounds to the head.

I don't think it's TV's fault. They just have to deal with the legal and press climate. Thailand's freedom of the press is ranked well down the list and neck and neck with Saudi Arabia's.

Might be better to discuss it on a forum outside the Thailand domain.

Maybe TV should be hosted outside of Thailand, that way the government wont have any control about what is being said here

Im always surprised by the length of the censorship imposed on this site

TV is hosted in Singapore.

So why do they comply soo much to the thai law ?

And why choose Singapore witch is not really a freedom of speech paradise,

It's not that at all. There is currently a huge thread running already in the Thailand News Forum. They don't want multiple threads running.

You mean some people are actually aware that Chiang Mai isn't the centre of the universe? ;)
