This is how President Obama signed the guestbook at Westminster Abbey earlier today, where he got a tour from the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall and laid a wreath on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

It was really nice until he got the date wrong by three years. Granted, 2008 was a great year for him, and we might try to live it for as long as possible, too, if we were him. Also, though, he may have had a stroke.

Is there some way to tie that into him not knowing how many U.S States there are?

And that you voted for him?

I bet BO can spell "tomato", though, and knows who the leader of Pakistan is.

(Unlike Bush in his time).

I have to wonder about the veracity of this report, though. It seems rather unlikely.

(Yes, I know "and" should not be used to start a sentence, and I know that sentences should not be finished with a preposition.....this is only colloquial chatting.)

I actually thought it looked pretty good in the beginning. Like having a soundtrack to his toast. Then Obama raises his glass and the Queen and everyone else just stands still waiting for the music to end. That really was awkward, ouch. I wonder who'll get fired?

I don't think any of us would look good if we had cameras and microphones following us around every time we left the house.

The moral of the story is that EVERYBODY makes mistakes, but the liberal media only highlights the mistakes of Concervatives and goes out of there way to make them look foolish.

First, I think the word you are looking for is "potato" and second, I'd say it's 50/50 that Obama could spell either in front of an audience without his teleprompter. In his defense, these guys start relying on technology to do their thinking. Anyone who has used a calculator a lot in their business has at one time or another entered in very simple equations.

Second, maybe 90% of the intellectuals on the left or right couldn't have named the President of Pakistan in 2000. Today, after all the drone attacks and covert activities I sure as hell hope Obama knows they guy's name.

Bush had his 8 years. I wouldn't prefer anyone to serve more than their two terms.

For effectiveness I would prefer if McCain were President. I trust his judgment A LOT more. Obama is too much of a rookie and it really shows.

However, I'm happy that we gave the Dems a shot at it. Seeing as how Obama is continuing a lot of Bush policies you don't hear the whining in the press about Gitmo or The Patriot Act, etc. The press would be having a field day if the President were Republican. Note how they ignored the fact that the Dems had absolute control over the Executive and Legislative branches of gov't for two full years as the country sunk further and further.

I'm glad that we became one of the first modern countries to popularly elect a racial minority as leader. A minority that was considered "inferior" not all that long ago in historical terms (Civil Rights Act of 1964). That is an impressive achievement for the people and the country. Too bad Obama himself is such a failure but he has himself to blame by ignoring the economy & jobs in favor of health care - for which his contributors keep getting exemptions. I wish he had at least attempted the "change" he talked about in the campaign. but as he said at the beginning of the health care debate, and I'm paraphrasing, "we won and the Republicans are going to have to get used to it". What a phony.

(CNSNews.com) - Imagine the newspaper headlines if President George W. Bush had written the wrong date in the Westminster Abbey guest book; or if he had continued toasting the Queen of England after the British national anthem started playing. Obama did both of those things on Tuesday, and while media outlets reported the incidents, there was no suggestion that he is a blundering fool.

"Doesn’t Obama know what year it is? President signs Westminster Abbey guestbook 2008!" said the headline in the Daily Mail online. The subhead read: "Orchestra also accidentally starts playing National Anthem over Obama as he toasts Queen after misunderstanding a pause from the President."

Contrast that with the Daily Mail headline on May 8, 2007: "Blundering Bush makes ANOTHER gaffe as he winks at the Queen".
