mittheimp
Here is that whole middle east/asia thing again As an Australian I tend to think of asia as everthing east of Bangladesh while for Europeans its everything the other side of germany It's not in Malaysia Where is India, pakistan, nepal etc then? But you are right if referring to media descriptions - an 'asian' in the Uk is someone from India/Pakistan/Bangladesh and and Asian in Oz is east of Bangladesh!!! Old Croc
Hi, I'm back. been away for a few days. For me, India, Pakistan, etc is the sub continent. Asia for me is probably more accurately called SE Asia. I was joking with the East of Germany thing. I know Asia starts at the Bosforus, but i will never consider the middle east to be Asia. The city in question is in Japan.

The idea for Istanbul came from your previous comment about the Bosforus. Back to you, Croc.
Old Croc
Yes Bino, my first thought was Istanbul. Then I nearly went away from that idea because it was too obvious after having just talked about it. Here's the next one. A port city.

It coudn't be Lhasa as the chinese have done their worst. Only place left was Bhutan.
