Hp Sauce'S Recipe Secretly Changed After 116 Years By American Owners Of The Great British Condiment

Featured Replies

For more than a century HP Sauce has been a staple of many a British dining table.

But after 116 years of being produced to a carefully guarded recipe, the brown sauce which famously bears a picture of the Houses of Parliament on the label has been secretly altered at the request of Government health chiefs.

See how European we're getting?

More unelected bureaucrats dictating the rules to the Great British Public.

And the GBP accept it without a murmur.

Same is happening with property development - green-belt land being re-zoned for construction without any local or national enquiry.

This is the way of those Nazi-bureaucrats in Brussels. It just ain't British.

No its Brittisch to burn your own citties. Must be Euro burocrats too who told them to do that.

Come on moaning a bit about the EU ok.. but calling them Nazi's that is a few steps too far.

Goose-steps?

No - this is the way of continental Europe and is why the Nazi system was so easily welcomed over most of Europe. Only when force prevailed against this system did the Europeans begin to discard it.

Hahaha we got a fossil here :D

Come you guys burn your own cities. Your coppers could not even stop it. I did not see that happen in continental Europe.

So if i have to choose between a Nazi system (and it is not) or the British burning their own cities down. Id go for the Nazi system.

I don't like the EU much but calling them Nazi's is far to harsh. But if so did not one of your own princes dress up as a Nazi ? Maybe its deeper rooted in you then you think. I haven't seen the Germans do that anymore.

You weren't in Paris, France a couple of years ago?

That was not on the scale of the UK. But come one calling the EU Natzi's is far from the truth. If it was not for Germany we would be even further in the shit. I can't believe they pay so much for those cheating Greeks and Italians.

Actually standardizations that are happening in the EU are great. Just don't like it that there are so many weak countries in the EU.

But making sure that everyone has to play by the same rules when its about food i can only applaud. Kinda levels the playing field. That it goes to far sometimes is crazy indeed, but the idea's are great if not pushed too far.

One system for weights and distance. Great is better for trade. Making sure that everyone has the same standards helps a lot. One currency is great too (if they had kept those weak countries better in check).

I love the idea of the EU but i dont like how its being implemented.

Too bad that your sauce is a victim of it. I suggest you go to Brussels to protest about it.

I like my sprouts al dente....roast their chestnuts instead please.

I make my own sauce. I shred fresh garlic and medium hot peppers in a Braun chopper and mix it together with some Soya sauce. It doesn't take much to add a bit of zip to other items.

True, but that's because moose, seals and whales are readily available. Yah just pick em up when you need the ingredients.

You REVERSED into the moose?

Bit unsporting, innit?

It's quite obvious he stopped quickly and the Moose was tailgating.
