Family Visit Visa - Do I Need To Hide My Account Number To Protect From Fraud

Featured Replies

Hello,

My sister is sponsering my wife for a family visit to the UK,she is concerned about sending the UKBA her bank statements

with her full account number on,for fraud reasons, can you mark out the last four digits or do they require the whole sort and

account number to be on show ?

She can just blank them out, that's fine, they just want to see that there's enough money for the visit, they won't be accessing the account.

If they're internet banking statements, you might want to get the bank to stamp them. I went in to my bank to do that expecting to have to explain it, but they knew exactly what I wanted and it took five minutes.

Hope it's all going well mate? (buy your wife a big coat! ;) )
